To create Button

  1. First of all, you have to choose the Form tool in the toolbar.

  2. And then type in the button name for you to refer in future.

  3. If you need the button to have a short description, you can type in your short text in the Short Description text field.

  4. After that you can choose the button layout as below.

    A. Icon Only B. Icon over text C. Text left, icon right D. Text over icon

    E. Text in icon F. Icon left, text right

  5. Finally, click on the OK button.

  6. If you want the button to be link to other page, you have to click on the Link Tool in the toolbar and drag the rectangle to the button.

  7. And then click on the Document tab from the menu bar and select Go To Page in the menu without closing the Create Link dialog box.

The Form tool allows you to create form fields that an Acrobat user can interact with.

  1. First of all, you have to select the Form tool in the toolbar.

  2. Here you can move the cross-hair pointer to make a box of the required size.

  3. Then you will see the dialog box as below appears.

  4. Then you have to type in the name for the text field in the Name text field.

  5. After that click on the OK button.

  6. Change the From tool to Hand tool and click on the text field, which you created just now.

  7. Finally, you can test the text field.

These options apply to Web pages, which you will convert to PDF, not to pages already converted.

To set Global Options in the conversion settings dialog box, you have to do one of the following:

  • Click the Open Web Page button, and click Conversion Settings.
  • Choose the File menu and select Open Web Page, and click Conversion Settings.
  • Choose the Tools menu and select Web Capture followed by Open Web Page or Append Web Page, and click Conversion Settings.

And then you have to do one of the following:

  • To control structured bookmarks, and a PDF structure for Web pages, you have to set the General options.
  • To determine the font properties and other display characteristics of HTML pages that you convert to PDF, you ought to set the HTML options.
  • To determine the font properties and other display characteristics of text pages that you want to convert to PDF, you have to set the Text options.
  • To determine the page size and margins of Web pages in your PDF documents, you have to set the Page Layout options.

To customize the Capture Process

You can set several Capture preferences, such as a language for the OCR process and an output file type.

You can also provide a custom dictionary for Acrobat to use along with its standard language dictionary.

  1. First of all, choose the File menu and select Preferences followed by Paper Capture.

  2. And then choose a language that you want.

  3. Choose an output file type for the captured files.

  4. Select whether to apply downsampling to images in the captured pages.

  5. To save the current settings as the defaults, click Default.

  6. Finally, click on the OK button.
