To convert your files to PDF, Acrobat allows you to use either PDFWriter or Distiller to do so. PDFWriter is a printer driver that converts files directly to PDF from another software application.

If you’re converting simple business document and other documents that are only contain text, then PDFWriter is suitable for this situation.

PDFWriter is mostly used when:

• You are convert simple business documents, such as those created with Microsoft Word or Excel.
  

• Your documents do not contain graphics.
  

• Your system has a limited amount of RAM.
  

• You want to produce PDF files quickly.
