You can use Acrobat to convert an electronic file from virtually any application to the Portable Document Format (PDF).

1. Acrobat can use two different utilities—PDFWriter and Acrobat Distiller—to make this conversion for you.
   

2. In general, PDFWriter converts files more quickly, but Distiller gives you more control over the process and provides higher quality output.
   

3. To convert the electronic files to PDF, you have to choose the File tab from the menu bar and select Open to open a file from another application.
   

4. Then you will see the file opens in Acrobat.
