To convert PostScript Files to PDF

You can open the PostScript file in Distiller, drag and drop the file onto the Distiller icon. And then place the file in a watched folder for batch processing, or specify the Distiller and file pathnames in the Run dialog box in Windows.

To convert a PostScript file by opening it in Distiller:

  1. First of all, you ought to start the Distiller application.

  2. And then choose the File tab form the menu bar and select Open, and use the browser to select the PostScript file.

  3. Choose All Files from the Files Of Type pop-up menu if the PostScript file has an extension other than .ps.

  4. Then you have to do one of the following:

    • Click Open, enter a name and location for the PDF file, and click on the Save button.
    • Hold down Shift (Windows) or Option (Mac OS) while you are clicking the Open command.
    • The PDFfile has the same name as the PostScript file, plus the extension .pdf, and is stored in the same folder as the PostScript file.
